Artist's Description
Taos New Mexico Barrel of Red Geraniums is a companion piece to La Posada Hollyhock Garden Winslow Arizona. The common focus for each watercolor is their Blue Door. The color of their doors and designs were the interest point to my intent which allowed me to engage both subjects. Each painting is supported by their surrounding environment describing the local architecture.
My print experience is positive, on both Picture Rag paper, canvas or canvas wrap which I love - no glass, no reflections. My watercolor technique looks wonderful on canvas; either glossy canvas finish, it looks like an oil painting or a canvas matte finish, no surface shine.
